Embrace

Uniquely

Being,

Embrace Being,

You

Uniquely You

TEXT Today:
Our emotional health can range from thriving to struggling. No matter what you’re
experiencing, there are ways to take action to support yourself and those around you.
We offer counseling in St Louis, MO, and telehealth for the entire state.
FIT CHECK
Let’s chat for 5-10 minutes and we’ll come up with a plan to either meet for a first appointment or I’ll give you some guidance on how to best meet your goals if I can’t help. At no charge.

Anxiety

Ever feel like you can’t turn your brain off and just relax? Tried to go to sleep and just start thinking about the time in 3rd grade you called your teacher mom? No worries, I’ll help you learn ways to feel more in control.

School Issues

Are you hearing way more from your kiddos teacher than you expected? Worried about the way they describe (or refuse to describe) school? Let’s figure it out together.

ADHD

Whether you’ve been formally diagnosed or you relate to a lot of TikTok videos there are plenty of ways counseling can help. (No meds here, just ways to use your brain a little differently.)

Expressing yourself

Sometimes it's hard to say the “right thing” or act “the right way.” Let’s work together to help you embrace being uniquely you.

What’s up with Enlitens? First, yes I know it's misspelled. 😊 The whole idea of mental health and growth is to be uniquely you, so why not make the word my own. You say it as enlightens (in light ins), kinda like having that “ah-ha” moment. My goal is that this can be a place where you have those “ah-ha” moments about yourself, your life, and your place in the world. I also like pushing the boundaries and modernizing things in mental health so in my brain it makes sense to do things the Enlitens way.

Healing Your Kids

Healing Hearts

In-Person Sessions

Finding in-person counseling in St Louis right now can be difficult. I offer in-person counseling sessions with our office located in South St Louis County.

Telehealth Sessions

Have you spent a lot of time searching for “counselor near me”? Well you are in luck! I offer counseling in Missouri, no matter what part of our state you are in.

Healing Relationships

Children

It's hard being a kid. I can connect with your kiddo using things like play and even video games! Let me help with things like ADHD, social learning, and school difficulties.

Teens

Y’all, teens these days do not have it easy. Now more than ever they need help adjusting to all the changes in their lives physically, socially, and emotionally.

Adults

The list of things adults have to deal with is long: work, family, impending doom, figuring out how to talk to your friends, family, and of course kids… Let’s meet and come up with a plan to feel more in control of all the things.

One of the big things about counseling that’s so great is that it’s all about you and your goals. I’m just here to help you set those goals and guide you with some tools to meet those goals.

Sessions look different for everyone. Some people like to come in with a problem they want to solve, other people what to talk out their feelings, sometimes we end up doing an activity (even art and games). The best part is we’re a team so if counseling isn’t what you expect let me know and we can make it what you want it.
This is the tough question. Short answer: every time we meet we’ll meet for 45 minutes. Long answer: how often we meet, and how many times we meet, depends on what you want. If weekly or biweekly works better for you that’s what we’ll do. Usually, counseling progress takes a few months to see but we check in on progress a lot. You can also pause and restart if you want.
I like to look at counseling as a teamwork thing; we’ll work together to reach your goals. I sometimes can get really passionate about things and nerd out but usually, I let you share what you think is best. (Kinda think about it as talking out a plan before you do it…but with your work bestie, not your mom.) Check out my bio for all the “technical jargon.”
Maybe your question is “why is this a question on your FAQ’s?” There’s no easy way to say “I bring pop culture, gaming, nerdy things, and movie/tv references into my counseling style.” That’s what I do though! Wanna use emote dances as a coping skill? Wanna talk about how emotionally drained you are after all the drama tv you binge-watch? Don’t worry, we totally can in session. (I also promise to care way more about people and their identities than she who must not be named don’t worry.)
